We arrived into Sydney very late on Monday night and didn't do much except check in to our apartment and go to sleep. Tuesday morning we wandered around Oxford Street, got groceries, and went directly to one of our favorite Thai restaurants in the world (yes, even more than the ones in Thailand): Spice I Am. We then wandered through Hyde Park and did a lot of shopping.. (well, actually just browsing because prices in Australia aren't terribly conducive to actually purchasing things)

Our walk in the park was fun though.. we have had unbelievable weather everywhere that we've been on our trip so far. While it's technically winter here, the sweatshirt I'm wearing in the picture wasn't really that necessary.. the locals were walking around in shorts.

Our walk through Hyde Park resulted in lots of beautiful pictures, a few of which we've put up here for you..
The tower in the distance used to be the "AMP Tower" last time we were here but now its the "Westfield Tower".. so I guess AMP must have had a tough time in the recession. (It was a banking and financial service company I think)
In any regard, it's still a very memorable Sydney landmark.

After our walk in the park, we met up with our friends Cameron and Frank for dinner at Mad Pizza (where they serve pizza with lamb, duck, and lots of other interesting atypical ingredients!)
After that we had a drink and went right to bed. It seems that the jet lag is leading us early to bed and early to rise. As I'm writing this it's about 7 AM. Not a time that I'm normally up if I have a choice.
Tomorrow's edition will cover our absolutely beautiful adventure along the coast.. see you then!

A lot of really nice shots here! Eric, you are giving me some homeboy up in that hoodie photo. ;) Oh, and the name "Spice I Am" fits you both very well. Actually, the more gay appropriate name would be "Spicy? That's right, I Am!" lol...
